Dr Ciaran Charalambou joined Floss Family Dental Victoria Point in 2018. He brings some wonderful experience to our team, including time as a Dentist at London’s Kings College Hospital, as well as in private practice in London, Brisbane and the Gold Coast. Ciaran has a Bachelor of Dental Surgery, which he completed at the University of Manchester. As is so important to us here at Floss, Ciaran is also incredibly passionate about providing exceptional quality dental care within a relaxed and reassuring environment.

With a warm yet professional approach, Ciaran spends the time to get to know his patients and their needs. He has an easy-going manner that helps patients to quickly feel at ease in the dental chair. Tell us about yourself
I am a passionate and enthusiastic dentist who chats to his patients a little too much.
When did you decide to become a dentist?
When I went to the dentist when I was little, my mother was extremely afraid. I decided to become a dentist so she could have access to dental care and not be scared.
What would you say is your dental philosophy?
Minimally invasive, ethical, patient-centered dental care.
How do you keep up to date with techniques, technology and teachings?
I read several different dental journals every month, and attend multiple courses to learn new techniques, sharpen old ones, and increase the depth of my knowledge.
As a dentist, what’s the best part of your day?
That’s hard! It’s either catching up with patients I haven’t seen for six months and meeting new ones who attend their first appointment at Floss! I’ll say it again – I love to chat!
What is the one thing you want patients to know about your work?
Their dental care is my #1 priority.
What do you like to do in your spare time?
I like to paint, play video games and I have a serious passion for Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.
What is something people may not know about you?
I am the world’s least successful fisherman.
What would you do if you weren’t a dentist?
Either a physiotherapist or a historian of Medieval Europe!
